10! Ten days until Golden Heart awards!

Judges 10Somehow, the numeral 10 makes the countdown seem even more exciting!

We are currently celebrating the excitement with a thunderstorm and no electricity. Therefore today’s post shall, of necessity, be brief! Besides enjoying nature’s show, I am getting my clothes ready for packing, just in case anything needs attention. Boring, I know, but some days are like that.

When the electricity comes back, I’ll upload the cool graphic of three judges holding up signs with “10” on them. 🙂 (Ha! I just figured out how to do it without electricity! At least as long as the battery in my smartphone hangs in there!)

Catch up with you tomorrow!

I’m sure that as a pilot, you must be able to solve problems quickly.

Wishing you a quick return to Power. Be sure of prayers.

Something happened last night. My front ash tree lost a limb. No borers were found in it. That poor tree took a lightning strike 10-15 years ago. It keeps on living and growing.

    God Bless,

Power’s back. For the moment. 🙂

Your ash tree is inspiring. To keep on living and growing in spite of the trauma of a lightning strike – wow! Maybe the limb that fell had been weakened from the lightning and finally succumbed to the hidden injury. But that story has such a parallel for us in our lives, doesn’t it?

      • Don Mulcare says:

Parallel indeed. The lightning, topped the tree and slashed a 2 inch wide scar from top to bottom. By now the top has regained some altitude and the scar has sealed. Ash trees have lessons for us. Maybe that’s why they’re used for the Lousiville Slugger? I’d rate it a 10!

I’d say so! Survive, thrive, and have the resilience to come out swinging! I’m rooting for your ash tree(s)!
